Whatever your political affiliations, your answers to the questions below are of far more importance.

Questions for Partisans

Against whom here do we struggle?
What wins have we vainly sought?
Though Christ spoke of His Kingdom,
Saying of this world it is not.

Against whom here are we bitter?
What scorned faction is our foe?
Though our enemies we are to love,
do our actions, God's love show?

What earthly battles matter,
if winning, we miss His goal?
The whole world gained: a wretched swap
for one's eternal soul.
