Christmas is a Birthday

Luke 2: 1-20
0:00 / 0:00
A long time ago in a tiny town; A place called Bethlehem. The Prince of Peace was born to save His People from their sins. Far away from home, in a lowly place; Midst a mother's joy and pain, The Son of God was born one night - And Jesus is His name. And Christmas is a birthday. What kind of presents should we give To the King of All Creation? Only the lives we live – only our hearts to give. Yes Mighty God is never far From the lowly and the weak! When others won't make room for them, These are those He seeks: The orphan and the foreigner; The widow and the slave; The hungry and the humble ones; For these He is strong to save! And Christmas is a birthday. Jesus must be real old you say? He is the same forever, Yesterday and today! He heals the brokenhearted; He causes the blind to see; He fills the hungry with good things; He loves you and He loves me! Did you know there are plenty of Jesus' friends, Still poor and hungry today? The least of whom are His brothers and sisters. We must not turn them away. That's why Christmas has always been – Peace, good will to men. Words: Jerry Dan Deutschendorf Music: Jerry Dan Deutschendorf
