Poems

The Rain

The cool drops fall
gently away;
loosed from the cloud-covered sky.

Falling, falling
down through the grey;
drawn to the earth from on high.

How many fall?
We cannot say.
Yet there is One who knows why.

He measures each
drop and causes
the rain to fall gently away from the sky.
