There is something about being near the waters of this world. Do you feel it too?
When I Draw Near unto the Waters
There is an angel
who has power over the waters:
each river, stream, pond and brook;
every ocean, lake and sea.
And when I draw near unto
the waters of this world Oh Lord,
that angel has a great
and mighty power over me!
Oh my soul the oceans,
vast and teeming strong
with waves of windswept grandeur;
or rivers, wide and narrow,
ranging through creases where
hillside melds to valley.
Even tiny mountain streams
patiently feeding pristine lakes
whose crystal-smooth surfaces,
at times, reflect the mysteries of
heaven and earth much better
than my own dull, dry eyes.
Yes,
when I draw near unto
the waters of this world Oh Lord,
that angel...
that angel has a great
and mighty power over me!
